    Pam Keith is a fearless advocate dedicated to justice. She began her legal career as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Navy, where she quickly earned a reputation for her sharp intellect and tenacity in defending clients. After leaving the Navy in 2000, she honed her expertise at top labor and employment law firms before serving as Senior Labor Relations Counsel at NextEra Energy, gaining critical insight into corporate decision-making.

    In 2015, Pam entered politics, making history as the first Black woman in Florida to run a qualified campaign for U.S. Senate. Her bold and dynamic approach earned widespread recognition, including a major newspaper endorsement. She continued her fight for the people through congressional campaigns in 2018 and 2020, building a strong following through her passionate advocacy on key issues.

    In 2017, Pam worked alongside renowned Civil Rights attorney Donald Temple, tackling complex legal challenges that have tested and shaped District of Columbia laws and institutions. Now, after founding CEJ, she channels her vast experience into her own enterprise, fearlessly defending workers' rights and confronting workplace injustices with the same determination that has defined her career.

    After retiring from the U.S. Army in 2018, Ray pursued his passion for justice by transitioning into the legal field. Committed to protecting individuals from systemic injustices, he was accepted into the Washington College of Law in 2020. In 2022, he joined the Center for Employment Justice (CEJ) as an intern, quickly rising to Law Practice Manager, where he played a key role in overseeing firm operations while assisting with legal matters.

    Ray earned his Juris Doctorate in 2024 and now serves as an Attorney at CEJ, continuing to manage business operations while providing legal representation to employees facing discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage disputes. With expertise in employment law, military and veterans’ benefits, corporate compliance, and security operations, he brings a dynamic and strategic approach to workplace advocacy.

    With over a decade of leadership experience in military and corporate environments, Ray applies discipline, analytical precision, and a deep sense of duty to his legal practice. His mission at CEJ is clear—to level the playing field for employees, hold employers accountable, and ensure that every worker has the opportunity to thrive.

  • Kelli M. Slater| Associate

    Kelli graduated magna cum laude from Howard University in 2017 and earned her Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School in 2020.

    While in law school, Kelli served as a Managing Editor of Tulane’s International and Comparative Law Journal. She also was President of Tulane’s International Law Society and an active member of the Black Law Students Association, reflecting her early commitment to both international law and advancing opportunities for underrepresented communities in the legal profession.

    After passing the Mississippi bar exam in 2020, Kelli began her legal career in Jackson, Mississippi, with Carson Law Group, PLLC. There, she handled a wide range of litigation matters, including general commercial liability, construction disputes, employment discrimination, wrongful termination, and local election law contests, gaining significant experience navigating complex disputes in both the public and private spheres.

    Kelli later returned to Washington, D.C., to join the United States Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, where she spent two years in the Voting Section. In that role, she filed Statements of Interest on behalf of the United States in high-stakes voting rights cases across the country and served on a litigation team that successfully obtained a preliminary injunction against the State of Alabama for improper voter list maintenance activities.

    As an attorney at CEJ, Kelli has continued her commitment to civil rights, representing clients facing gender and race discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination. Guided by a deep passion for employment law and workplace justice, she seeks to achieve meaningful relief for her clients and to ensure they are treated with full dignity in the workplace.

    From an early age, Sierra knew she wanted a career dedicated to helping people. She decided to pursue her passion of helping people through obtaining a law degree. Sierra attended Florida International University College of Law and earned her Juris Doctor degree in 2021.

    While in law school, Sierra became intrigued with employment law and realized this practice area where she’d want to focus her legal career. Additionally, Sierra was a member of FIU Law Review and actively participated with several organizations while in law school, such as the Employment and Labor Law Society, Black Law Students Association, and American Civil Liberties Union.

    Upon passing the bar exam in 2021, Sierra began her legal career in Houston, Texas, where she litigated civil matters in the Texas state courts and the U.S. Department of Labor. After relocating to the DC-metro area, Sierra continued to develop her legal career by advocating for clients in civil cases in the Maryland and District of Columbia state courts. Now, as an Attorney with CEJ, Sierra is pursuing her interest in employment law and remains committed to her passion of helping people.
